Take your time with you.

Your calendar.
On your phone.

Sync with your calendar app is not active yet. Here you can learn how the connection is intended to work.

In preparation

Phone sync is not active yet.

Phone sync has not been enabled yet. Once the calendar service is ready, you can connect your device here. You can already use your appointments on the website.

Open calendar
01

The app you already use.

You do not need to open or install the GemDen web app. Your personal calendar is added as an extra calendar on your phone.

02

Changes in both directions.

New appointments, changes and deletions in the connected calendar are synced with your private GemDen calendar.

03

You stay in control.

Each device gets its own access credentials. You can revoke them individually. Your GemDen password stays separate.

Once the connection is ready

How GemDen reaches your phone.

Sync in the background.

  1. Install a CalDAV sync adapter such as DAVx⁵ and use a compatible calendar app. DAVx⁵ may cost money depending on where you get it.
  2. Create device access here. In DAVx⁵, add an account using the server address and the corresponding device credentials.
  3. Allow calendar access and enable sync for your personal GemDen calendar.
  4. Show it in your calendar app. In Google Calendar, you may need to go to Settings → Manage accounts and enable the DAVx⁵ account.

Your device access.

Once enabled, you can create your own access credentials here and revoke each one separately.

Not available yet. No device access is currently being created.

Good to know

Your calendar stays yours.

Which appointments are synced?

Only entries in the personal GemDen calendar you deliberately connect. Other iCloud, Google or local calendars are not imported automatically. Select the GemDen calendar when creating new appointments.

Who can see my personal appointments?

Your personal calendar stays private in GemDen. Connecting your phone does not publish appointments in communities or on your profile. Anyone with access to your unlocked phone and its calendar can see the appointments stored there.

What about ThreeDen, Çiçek and shared meetups?

Your own confirmed ThreeDen and Çiçek requests may appear in your personal calendar. Changes to these arrangements are made in GemDen. Moving an entry in your calendar app does not replace confirmation. Public community calendars are a separate area; a calendar subscription usually only allows reading.

Are changes visible everywhere immediately?

Sync depends on your internet connection and your phone's refresh interval. If needed, refresh manually in your calendar app or sync adapter. If the calendar service is temporarily unavailable, syncing resumes later; the website calendars remain usable independently.

How are recurring events and reminders handled?

Recurring events, exceptions, all-day events and reminders are intended to be retained in your calendar app. Edit recurring and all-day events there. Very complex or unrecognised recurring events may appear with a notice on the website to keep the page usable.

For now, a good place for your time is enough.
